Bikiya Graham-Douglas is a Nigerian born British trained uber-talented performing artiste, actress and multifaceted creative executive. She holds a B.A. (Hons) in Business Economics with Business Law from the University of Portsmouth and received her acting training at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, the Bridge Theatre Company, and the Oxford School of Drama.

Bikiya Graham-Douglas is the winner of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in the best supporting actress category, a nominee in the Nigeria Entertainment Awards, and a nominee for Nollywood Movie Awards.

Actress and Performer

Bikiya is a versatile actress, interpreting diverse, complex roles for web series, television, film and theatre. Her performances have been to critical acclaim and adulation by both industry professionals and viewing audiences. Some of her theatre credits include Torn, For Colored Girls, Vagina Monologues, Wedding Blues, Macbeth, Closer, and Iya-Ile. A few of her film credits are New Normal, La Femme Anjola, Code Wilo, God Calling, Surulere, Lunch Time Heroes, and Flower Girls. Her natural ability to interpret diverse characters on TV can be seen in Baby Drama, Shuga, Jenifa’s Diaries, Battleground, and Encounters.

Singer

Bikiya’s first love is singing. She has received music training and has performed at various events in the UK, Ireland, South Africa and Nigeria. She has lent her voice to movie soundtracks and musicals. She is particularly passionate about Jazz music.


Producer

Bikiya Graham-Douglas’s passion for powerful storytelling drives her ethos as a producer. She is the principal producer at Beeta Productions, working collaboratively with partners to bring authentic African stories to a global audience. She co-produced the documentary Born in Paris Raised in New York. Her most recent production is the soon-to-be-released documentary series As We Are, and she is adapting all BPC winning plays to feature films.


Performing Arts Executive

Bikiya Graham-Douglas is the Executive Director of Lagos Theatre Festival (LTF), the largest West Africa performing arts festival. She is in charge of the overall running of the festival and has managed its partnerships, collaborations, fund-raising and communications.

Creative Entrepreneur

Bikiya is the founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Beeta Universal Arts Foundation (BUAF). She established this organization in 2010 to create opportunities for all actors in the performing artists’ ecosystem. It is now one of Nigeria’s foremost art organizations, impacting lives through competitions, productions, and art education. Under Bikiya’s leadership, BUAF has produced over fifty stage-plays, organized training workshops, and was commissioned by UNESCO World Book Capital in 2014-2015 to produce the official plays on the history of the Book in Nigeria.

Bikiya is the recipient of the Nigerian Association of Theatre Arts Practitioners (NANTAP) Award of Excellence for her commitment, promotion and contributions to the growth, development, and sustenance of live theatre in Nigeria.

She is the Creator and Producer of the Beeta Playwright Competition and Beeta Campus Outreach for Nigerian Universities.
